NFL Week 9 Tai’s Best Bets

Let’s see if we can get some winners in the NFL.  Historically much harder to pick than their college counterpart, but I’ve been running good lately.  Time to get these picks documented and share them with the world.

Cincinnati +3  over Baltimore  (5 units)  -112

This line just seems off.  Baltimore just isn’t as good as people on the pre game shows want them to be.  And the Bengals for once have an average defense to go along with Palmer’s arm on offense.  I think the money line also garners consideration here.  This is my biggest play of the day.

Houston at Indianapolis OVER 49.5  (2 units)  -104

The Colts have quietly had the best defense in the league when it comes to opponent scoring.  Which is a pretty important stat, right?  So why in the hell would you be over on this game?  Well, mister rhetorical question, I’m not sure if you noticed but the Colts have had defensive players dropping like flies all week.  Dwarf, human missile, and man-crush of every trailer park Hawkeye fan Bob Sanders is out for the season.  That’ll hurt.  Add that to the already impressive list of Marlin Jackson, Kelvin Hayden, and Tyjuan Hagler.  I think Houston will be able to move the ball.

Green Bay -9.5 over Tampa Bay  (2 units)  +102

Tampa Bay is bad.  So bad they should be a team in Missouri.  Green Bay isn’t bad.  Packers roll.
