NBA Wednesday Best Bets

NBA picks 3-2 for +2.25 units yesterday. Special thanks to the terri-Bulls for losing to a formerly 1 win team at home. That moneyline was a nice hit. Cleveland -2.5 over HOUSTON -106

The Cavs are going back to back nights in games, but hopefully the young legs can recoup well. This seems like a pretty low number given the difference in talent that is apparent from anybody looking at the court.

UNDER 192 Portland at Indiana -107

Both of these teams are struggling to score points lately. The under is 13-3 in the Trail Blazers last 16 games as a road favorite and it’s also 11-5-1 in the Pacers last 17 overall. I like this situation.

PHILADELPHIA -3.5 over Detroit +101

Detroit is missing some key components while Philly is getting some pieces like AI back. This seems like a short number at home, so I’m jumping all over it. A lot of the trends are going against this one, so it’s more of a gut call. Proceed with caution.

NFL Waiver Wire Warriors Week 14

It’s late in the season and if you are reading this then your team is either in the playoffs or still fighting for them. No time to mess around. And with the number of player dropping like flies all around the league, you probably need some help. Let’s get to it.

Striking that Heismann pose for the top of your league trophy

Jerome Harrison RB CLE

Jamal Lewis has decided to call it a career opening the door for Jerome Harrison to take over the duties. He has good hands and is a must add in most leagues especially if you are playing in a point per reception league. This week isn’t a great matchup with the Steelers, but after that it’s very, very advantageous and Jerome will make a great flex start.

Chris Brown RB HOU

The Texans just made it official and put Steve Slaton on the IR with a spinal cord injury. Chris Brown got the start last week, but didn’t do much with it. He should get more comfortable with the Moats platoon and should get the better part of it. If Brown is still out on the wire, smack that bitch up.

Davone Bess WR MIA

Chad Henne has decided to gain a pulse and the Dolphins offense is going with it. He threw 52 times last week and 10 of those receptions went to Bess. He’ll be a popular pickup this week and could be worth a flex start in the playoffs.

Jason Campbell QB WAS

For those Peyton Manning owners, you better start planning for the future. Normally with Manning I don’t even carry a second QB after the bye week but he’s going to start getting some bench time any day soon. Jason Campbell is a good pickup if you have nobody else out there for ya.

NFL Monday Night Football Bets Week 11

Sunday 3-2 for +5.62 units.

Colts and 49ers both slipped through with covers on my big bets of the day. But I had to sweat them from my couch and pajama pants. I thank the Bears for collapsing right on cue, that was nice of them. By the way, was I the only one to see Hester’s bare ass get exposed in high definition the last 2 minutes when the tackler grabbed him by the belt? Haunting.

On the flip side Atlanta gets beat in overtime, definitely think I had the right side of that one it just didn’t come through for us. And in the “first round pick in the 2010 draft” bowl Detroit came back for the win but fell a couple points short of covering for me. Overall I was 3-2 on the day for +5.62 units. Any day when your big ones hit will be a good day.

The Monday night game sees Tennessee going into Houston as 4 point dogs. That seems about right, slight lean toward Houston if somehow it travels down to -3, but I’m not going to touch that as is. So I’ve got to look at the total of 48. I like anybody named Johnson to go off tomorrow night in the bright lights and carry this total over. MNF overs have been hitting this year, hopefully it continues this week.
